Tips for Inexpensive College Entertainment

Since you are still studying, there are a hundred types of expenses that you need to pay for – books, tuition, room and board, food allowance and even the occasional movie would have to come from your college money. If you are done with your exams, it is a weekend and you do not have a lot of money to spare, take a look at the following tips on how you can have an inexpensive college entertainment.

First, you can have a game night with friends. Gather all the board games and card games that you can find, invite a few friends over and have a game night. You can all pitch in for the food expense – which can be as simple as bowls of popcorn and canned drinks. This is a great way to hang out and spend some quality time with your college buddies. Second, you can visit a few museums, go to a local art show or check out the local tourist attractions. Most museums offer discounted rates to students – there are even some where you can get free admission. Soak in as much of the local culture as you can and do it with a group of friends.

Third, check out the local 'concert scene'. There is surely a college hangout within the vicinity where you can get to listen to some local artists who are just waiting to be discovered. College students are usually offered discounts in restaurants, cinemas and other commercial establishments so you should take advantage of them while you can. Stargazing, taking a walk in the park or across the town, renting movies for a DVD marathon night – just use your imagination and you will surely come up with forms of entertainment where you would not need to spend a significant amount of cash.
